CGC & CGCA Tests

AKC’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
The AKC’s CGC program is recognized as the gold standard for dog behavior. Dogs who pass the 10 step CGC test can submit to AKC to earn a certification and/or the official AKC CGC title.

AKC’s Advanced CGC (CGCA)
AKC’s Community Canine is the most advanced level of the CGC program. A prerequisite to earn this title requires that the dog already has a CGC test on record at AKC. The goal is to test the dog’s skills in a natural setting rather than in a ring.
