In 2016 at the BHA National Ginger was there again to defend her Games Championship and won the Grand National and Versatility Championship making her the only dog to have Gold medaled in all three National disciplines. Speed Barn Hunt Seminar
Tuesday February 21: 7-9pm
Do you feel like you could call “RAT!” faster, maybe get the tube to the rat wrangler quicker so you and your dog can keep hunting? Do you feel like your dog maybe lacks a little drive and could hunt faster? There are many ways to cut your times down and get more Q’s, while building up your confidence in your dog to make those calls earlier. We’ll work on eliminating our tendency to second guess ourselves and to TRUST IN DOG! There will be 4-10 rats on course. You have 30 seconds to find the first rat. You also have 30 seconds to find each additional rat. The game is over when you run out of time or call finish…sound like fun?! We will go over the game specific rules then run the game. After that we will work on strategies and teaching the dog it is OK when you aren’t right there. After the skill building, we will run the game again.

Tunnel-palooza Barn Hunt Seminar
Thursday February 23: 3:30-5:30pm
If you’ve ever had your dog find every rat in just seconds and then spend the next few nightmarish minutes begging and pleading for him to tunnel, this is for you! We’ve all been there. In this game, there will be as many as 8 tunnel opportunities, using only a few rats. The game is scored on tunneling only, with a time limit. Ties will be decided by time and rats have no score. We’ll work on completing multiple tunnels with various turns and difficulty levels, all under time pressure.

Distance Barn Hunt Seminar
Friday February 24: 3:30-5:30pm
If you think you may be guilty of being a “helicopter handler” or find yourself trying to micromanage your dog’s hunting, then this is for you! We’ve all been guilty of following our dogs to closely, talking to them too much, redirecting them, etc. This is a chance to work on sending your dog away from you to hunt and letting him/her do what they do best…FIND THOSE RATS!! We’ll work on confidence building for both you and your best friend. All dogs will run through the game for a score. We will work on exercises to develop better teamwork at a distance, then repeat the team game and compare scores.
2 hours, 8 teams
